.........On the Mississippi coast most of the hospitals and private doctors offices were destroyed by hurricane Katrina. The health care systems was non existence. A medical group from Fair Fax Virginia decided to help, so they set up a health care clinic in the old train depot in Bay Saint Louis. With Doctors and Nurse's taking time to come down to help the people of Bay Saint Louis and the surrounding area.

..........I went to the Clinic an witnessed the care and support the clinic provided. It was late November 2005 and the area of Bay Saint Louise was devastated. My mission was to film what was going on in the area, so I decided to document the clinic. Slowly people started to return to their homes or what was left of them.

..........With none of the local hospitals or private doctors offices open the Clinic was a busy place. Some people went to the clinic because thier were sick and others just to have someone to talk with. One of the things that I learned at the clinic is how important conversation is in healing. It might not heal a broken arm but listening can sure make someone feel better.
