.........On Mardi Gras day a unique gathering of people in elaborate costumes assemble to parade. The Krewe of The Society of Saint Ann has a walking parade that marches from the Farboug Mariney area to the French Quarter. From the French Quarter the parade picks up again to meet up with the Krewe of Rex on Canal St.
.........Rex is an old line Krewe and has a tradition in which the King of Rex stops and toasts the Krew of the Society of Saint Ann.
Costumes and masks have a themes, a group of friends might dress up as a family of roaches or a tropical island, petty much anything goes. Some costumes take hundreds of hours to make them, Just for this one day.
