..........The Rex Parade is one of the old line krewes thar has been around for over a 150 years and has a tradition of landing on the shores of New Orleans at the end of canal street on a ferry Boat the day before Mardi Gras day called Lundi Gras. Early on Mardi Gras before the Zulu Parade Rex starts their parade and stops at Gallia hall for the king of Rex to toast the Mayor of New Orleans. The King of Rex is usually a member of the community the has contributed and is well respected within the Rex Organization.
