
............Mardi Gras in New Orleans is one of the biggest parities in the country, and has been for almost two hundred years! The Carnival Season starts on the twelfth night or Jan. 6 when the Christmas decorations come down and the Mardi Gras decoration go up. Mardi Gras or Fat Tuesday is 41 days before Easter and is the last day of the Carnival season. Mardi Gras day or Far Tuesday is the climactic celebration of the whole city of New Orleans.
There are many Social and Pleasure Clubs know as Krewes that have elaborate balls and parades to celebrate the Mardi Gras season. Masked Men and Women wearing colorful costumes ride parade throwing beads and having a good time! is a common site during Mardi Gras!
